Junk Kouture
Congratulations to the TY Junk Kouture students under the direction of their teacher Ms. Frances Kilcommins who successfully completed nine truly amazing outfits for the national Junk Kouture competition. The girls will be competing in the regional finals during a week-long celebration of youth creativity from March 6th – 10th via the social media platform TikTok. The Junk Kouture judges will then select a line up of designs from this stage of the competition to advance on to the national final in May. Best of luck girls!

Basketball News
Both our first and second year teams played at home last week against Presentation College Headford. Our teams played well on the day but were unlucky with their results due to a strong Headford panel. They will play Glenamaddy Community School next Tuesday 28th February at a home game in our Sports Hall. Best of luck!

Senior Gaelic Football Sponsorship
Sincere thanks to Liam McNeill from McNeill’s Foodstore and Colm Tully from Veterinary Supplies Ros for their very generous sponsorship of sports gear for our senior Gaelic Football team. The girls have been kindly sponsored half-zips, shorts and socks in the lead up to their All-Ireland semi final and this support from two local businesses is very much appreciated.
The team are currently preparing for the All-Ireland Semi-Final vs. St Mary’s Grammar School Magherafelt, which will take place on Thursday 16th March at 12.30 in Lisnaskea Emmetts GAC, Co. Fermanagh. Best of luck to Mr David O’Reilly (team manager) and the entire senior football panel.

Irish Wheelchair Association Fundraiser
Congratulations to the transition year Young Social Innovators who held a fundraiser for the Irish Wheelchair association recently. The YSI group ‘All Access’ hopes to provide information for people living in and visiting Roscommon with mobility issues detailing what services can easily be accessed. As part of their project they held a non-uniform day on Tues 21st February where students wore blue and green in support of the Irish Wheelchair association.

Irish Ladies Hexagonal Golf Tournament
Congratulations to Olivia Costello, second year student who was selected to play on the Irish Ladies team who competed in Spain at the International Hexagonal Tournament last week. The team finished in second place overall with impressive results from Olivia in all of her singles matches. As the youngest member of the Irish team, Olivia is a hugely talented young sportswoman and is fast becoming one of the leading names in Irish Womens’ Golf.
